We are climbing to continue our strategic partyp with Open and Stargate. Today’s announcement is complemented by what our two companies have cooperated together 2019.
The key elements of our partnership remain throughout the duration of our contract by 2030, with our approach to IP OpenAi, our corporate sharing and our exclusive API OpenAi, which are on forward – specifically:
- Microsoft has the rights to Openai IP (including model and infrastructure) for use in products such as Copilot. This means that customers have access to the best model for their needs.
- The API OPENAI API is exclusive for Azure, running on Azure and is also available through Azure Openi. This agreement means that customers benefit from accessing the front models on Microsoft platforms and directly from Openi.
- Microsoft and Openai have agreements on sharing income that flows in both ways, with both companies benefiting from the increased use of new and existing models.
- Microsoft remains the main investor in OpenI, provides funds and capacity to support their progress and then benefit from their growth in the award.
In addition, Openi has recently made a new, great Azure commitment, which will continue to support all Open and training products. This new agreement also included exclusive changes in new capacity, the transition to a model where Microsoft has the right to the first rejection (ROFR). For further support, Openai approved Microsoft’s ability to build additional capacity, primary for research and training models.
We thank Openi for their continuing partnership and we look forward to what comes.
