For the past five years, I have spent a lot of time to listen and document the stories of builders who use AWS technologies to solve harsh human problems for my series, are now being built. Whose provides identity to non -bank farmers of rice in Indonesia, using computer vision and machine learning to responsibly agricultural fish in Norway, or finding ways to pair the cloud technology with human intuition to reappear parts of Hawaii Everyone wants to be another unicorn and proving that it is possible to do good and running, has a profitable business.
However, the realization of the full potential that technology offers to solve these urgent, such as disasters and climate change, requires more financial investment. It requires a specialized focus on the care and development of technical knowledge and innovation of leaders in this space. That is why I announced at Vivaty at the beginning of this year that now Go Build CTO Fellowship in cooperation with AI for Changemakers led Tech to rescue.
This community is adapted to aspiring technological leaders in non -profit organizations and social impact organizations. It provides colleagues of training, mentoring and access to AWS experts to speed up their growth and development of technological solutions that can significantly change areas such as catastrophe, climate, health and health.
Today I would like to announce the first two cohorts now build CTO Fellowship: Catastrophe control and climate resistance. These individuals and their organizations are colored on some of the most difficult problems of humanity – and I would like to introduce them to you (according to their own words).

From a young age I have recognized the significant potential of technology to do good, from flying ultralight aircraft to testimony brings endangered colonies of penguins. Hybrid computer technology and its ability to solve some of the most demanding humanitarian and development issues in the world were the driving force for me. In my current role, happiness that these technologies will use how our team is reporting to crises and complex emergencies, from the hurricanes in Mexico and the Tornado in Kentucky to the earthquake in Turkey and the conflict in Ukraine. Our team takes advantage of the AWS working loads with an open source code to enable multinational organizations, local leaders, and the first response to understand field challenges, visualize data, decide on information and communicate. I hope that the community will equip me with leadership abilities and provide a deeper understanding of emerging technologies and their applications in an emergency environment.

Mercy Corps is a global organization serving communities in more than 40 countries that helps them rebuild them after disasters, interrupts poverty cycles and creates paths to prosperity in the face of injustice, unstability and climate change. We will use digital technologies, remote sensing, AI and cloud computing for the development and scaling of innovative solutions that increase the efficiency and efficiency of humanitarian aid. As the Chief Director of Technology for Development, I have tired of identifying new applications for technologies and data, developing strategies for technological integration and building internal capacity. The CTO is an extraordinary opportunity to learn from one of the most innovative executives in the world and increase our ability to use technology for social good.

With two decades of technological experience involving various industries included games, finance and now food restoration, in the last five years I have served as a leading engineering at 412 heroes of food rescue/food rescue. During this time, the day helped expand the Platform for Food (FRH) and involve over 50,000 volunteers in 20 North American regions. The FRH platform offers organizations for food recovery to understand solutions for efficient operation and management of volunteers, which loves streamlining the process of food recovery and will make it as intuitive, fair as possible and as accessible as possible for all parties. This community represents a unique opportunity to obtain information about calls faced by other innovative organizations in our field. In addition, it will strengthen our national reach and prepare a way for our global expansion efforts.

I am deeply passionate about innovative technologies, remote sensing, image processing and data to create a positive impact. As a CTO Quaira in Lima, Peru and the CEO of Green XPO Lab in San José in Costa Rica, I led teams that use long -distance survey technology, data analytics and AI models to develop solutions that allow our customers to provide information. We focus on creating an ideal platform to present these results and ensure that our customers not only access the data they need, but also gain valuable knowledge that leads to constant improvement in our offers. For me, the community is an exciting opportunity to talk to a clear way that has become an exceptional project and product manager and also a more efficient technology leader. When I try to lead my teams to success, I eager to get the instruments and strategies needed to lead our efforts and achieve our ambitious goals more efficient.

I grew up in Latin America and have witnessed the problems that our region faces. This experience has stimulated my desire to change and lead me to my career in public affairs white to make my skills in increasing changes. But I was looking for a way to apply these skills with greater accuracy and scale – as a surgeon who needs a scalpel, not just a hammer. This persecution led me to Cries, where we match AI and Osint to add critical, such as weapons trading, indigenous protection of community law, fighting disinformations and preventing climate -based conflicts. I believe that Go Build’s scholarship will now be helpful in scaling our impact and the development of an ambitious system of early warning for the region.

With almost decades of experience in innovation management within the humanitarian and development industry, I focus on supporting innovation with open source code and approaches of the whole community to increase resistance in sources. My expertise consists of using social innovations, human -aiming design and the consider application of borderline technologies to solve the problems they face during the humanitarian crisis. As the body of the British Group for Advisors for the Humanitarian Innovation of the United Kingdom and a member of the Ethereum Foundation, I bring a diverse perspective to the field. At present, I am head of efforts to explore, develop strategy and rapid experience of generative AI in ACAPS and BRAC.

I am Pytea Kangalova, a technological partnership and a committee in the humanitarian team OpenStreetMap (HOT). In HOT we provide map data that revolutionizes disaster management, alleviates the risks and contributions to achieve the goals of sustainable development. We are developing in connection with open source tools for mapping collaborative and collecting geospatial data, including the assisted AI-A mapping service, which effective efficient strengthening for humanitarian mappers.
As an open technology enthusiast, community builder, innovator and diversity advocate and integration into the technological industry, this community will emphasize me to strengthen my leadership and accelerate innovation in open mapping and geospatial field. It will also facilitate connections and cooperation with other leaders in technical and humanitarian sectors, allowing us to improve our technologies and create a more sustainable impact on the most urgent challenges.
